Freezer Paper Piecing

Create a Wonky Little House freezer paper pieced art quilt while learning  skills for perfect seams every time. Use this technique over and over again to  get exact points and square blocks on traditional quilting. Pattern provided. 

MATERIALS NEEDED

  • add a quarter ruler
  • thread to coordinate with fabric
  • Freezer Paper - either quilting or kitchen variety
  • Fabric scraps for house, background and foreground.

Design without borders finishes at 8-1/2” X 11” use your stash. The sample uses eight different  fabrics. Think contrasts when making selection. Small stripes work well for this project. 

  • Border fabrics will be needed to finish after class.

EQUIPMENT AND STANDARD SEWING SUPPLIES

  • sewing machine
  • needle (I like to start each project with a new needle)
  • rotary cutter, ruler and mat
  • scissors
  • pins
  • small travel iron and personal ironing surface (optional)
