Topic - Lap Seam Foot #70/71

Bernina owners and Bernina enthusiasts come and learn various features of the Bernina Sewing Machines.  Ann will discuss tips and tricks for each accessory.  You'll have a chance to ask questions and even show and tell projects you've completed or are working on.  A different Bernina Accessory will be highlighted each month.  As an added bonus, the accessory of the month is 25% off.

The Lap Seam Feet #70 and #71 produce lapped seams - also known as flat-felled seams - with ease and precision.  Both seam allowances are enclosed within the seam, which is secured with topstitching.  Often seen in ready-to-wear sportswear, the most familiar uses of flat-felled seams are in blue jeans and men's tailored shirts.  

Use the #71 to create French Binding, also called double binding.  The #71 Foot makes it easy to hold the binding in place as it goes under the needle for the final stitching.
